RHYTHM AT THE RIVER GIGS 2012
In the summer of 2012 we held five sold-out intimate sessions where the select audience sat back, relaxed and enjoyed quality acoustic music, drinks and a candlelight supper in a stunning location.
All five sessions in May, June, July, August and September sold out. Thank you to everyone who attended, performed at and helped make these evenings so special.
Session 1 (May 2012) The sensational singer songwriter Lisa Redford www.lisaredford.com/recorded three albums and toured across the UK, Europe, US and Canada, been championed by Bob Harris on Radio 2 and recently returned to the UK from living and recording in New York City with a new album release planned in 2012. Lisa was supported by Emily Fraser is a singer/songwriter from Cambridge.
Emily Fraser is a singer/songwriter from Cambridge. She plays in a bluesy soulful style with a rhythmic folk edge. Emily has played in Shallow Falls (formerly The Emily Fraser Band) performing at The Secret Garden Party and recording an EP “Just for You: The Secret Garden EP 2011”. Session 2 (June 2012) The amazing Shaun T Hunter aka Quiet Rebellion www.quietrebellion.get-ctrl.com has performed and sold albums across Europe, and was Acoustic/Roots Artist of 2006 in the Independent Leeds Music Awards.Shaun was supported by Sophie Jamieson http://www.reverbnation.com/sophiejamieson

Tom Mclaughlin is pretty much a One Man band. Playing All ranges of Guitars, including lapsteel, 12 string, electric and others. More instruments entail the Banjo, Bass, ContraBass, Piano, Drums, Harmonica, Percussion and the Saxophone, and has also been a dedicated Busker, Sound Engineer and Recording Artist.
Cara wrote and recorded her first album, 'Butterfly', at the age of 18. This received much praise and PRS Magazine hailed her 'an artist to look out for'. 2008 brought album 'Peter And The Whale'. A mature move, lyrically and musically, from her debut. Cara began performing with a band, which included her father, Shakatak guitarist Keith Winter, and began to gig regularly in and around London. Cara also began to perform with cellist Nick Cooper (Goldfrapp, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush) who she recorded her third album with, and she recorded her fourth album in 2013. __________________________________________________________________________________
